Alvin’s Story Trail

A Story Trail based on the Alvin book ‘At the end of the rainbow’ is planned to be launched in Debenham village in the summer. It is supported and organised by Get Suffolk Reading, which is part of National Literacy Trust.

You can read the book electronically here: https://alvinsart.co.uk/fun-and-games or click on the image to the right, borrow it from a Suffolk library or buy a copy from Kelly’s Crafty Corner (Debenham), Hamilton Smith (Debenham),  Ruby and The Angel (Debenham), The Book Cellar (Stonham Barns), Dial Lane Books (Ipswich),  Woodbridge Books (Woodbridge), Waterstones or Amazon.

The trail will be focused around Debenham High Street, where Alvin, Alice and their seven rainbow coloured chicks will guide you around from landmark to landmark and tell you some interesting and quirky facts.

The trail is very much a community project and lots of people and community groups are already involved in one way or another. (Picture gallery to follow here shortly).

One of the things currently being designed is the Story Trail leaflet, which will include a map of Debenham and information and illustrations for the different landmarks.

There are nine landmarks in all, and we are hoping that local children would like to help create illustrations for these. Please see the below PDF’s (downloadable) which provides further information.

Happy drawing and we look forward to seeing your creations!
